The Author

Irish doctor, Billy Byrne, is a graduate of University College Dublin, and a Fellow of The Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland. He worked in psychiatry and also in medical research on the campus of Trinity College, Dublin. He is an inventor with eight medically-related patents to his name. Foolish Notions is his first novel that he has adapted as a play of the same name.

He is married with one daughter.
